What about next season?
Hazard was asked about the importance of the next season for him, where he said: “I have had several seasons in which I did not play much, so for me, it is like the first season with this club, I just want to show what I can do on the pitch, that is my only goal.” .
On the biggest challenge in the next season, he explained: “To be able to compete in every competition, it will be a difficult season, that is for sure, because we are also European champions, and you know that when you are the champion of the continent, everyone wants to defeat you, but we are ready for that, we have A good team, some new players came in, so we are ready for the new season.”
“I can play, I can do whatever I want on the pitch, so I hope to maintain my fitness for another two or three years.”
On his constant exposure to injuries, he added: “I have never had a big injury at Chelsea before, so it was new for me, you have to learn to take care of your body in a different way, but it is a good challenge.”
He continued: “It is not that easy, especially when you do not know the cause of your injury, I injured sometimes with Chelsea, but not like those three years with Real Madrid, I knew that something was wrong with my body, which is why I requested an operation at the end of the season.” .
What about Karim Benzema?
On Benzema’s eligibility for the Ballon d’Or, Eden said: “I think he deserves it, there is no doubt about it but I think he deserves the Ballon d’Or not only for this season, but throughout his career.”
“I think he deserved it before, like five years ago, he’s our captain now and he’s also a really good guy, he doesn’t talk much on the pitch, he does what he wants, so we just pushed him to get the Ballon d’Or.”
What about Kylian Mbappe’s refusal to come to Real Madrid?
The Belgian added: “I think that happened in the past, we’re just focused now on this season, he’s a PSG player, and that’s it, he made a choice and we have to respect it.”
What about Barcelona deals?
Hazard added: “It’s better for the Spanish league when this type of match is like ‘Wow, what a Clasico’.”
He concluded: “As you know, when Barcelona have better players, it is more fun to beat them, but we are ready for this challenge.”
