Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang revealed his happiness with the presence of his former colleague Robert Lewandowski in the Barcelona team next season.
The Catalan team was able to obtain the services of the Polish striker after a long and difficult period of negotiations with the management of the Bavarian giant.
Which made the Gabonese star comment on Lewandowski’s joining via “ESPN” to make it clear that he is very pleased with his presence, and also talks about his aspirations for the next season.
What did Aubameyang say?
The Gabonese and the Pole were previously teammates for Borussia Dortmund in the 2013/14 season where they scored 44 goals together.
And now, the former Arsenal player is convinced that he and Lewandowski will be better together at Barcelona, and they will make the much-anticipated addition.
“We are more experienced now and we can put in some better performances than in the past,” he said. “I’m sure we’ll do everything we can to beat the numbers we achieved in Dortmund.”
It seems that Aubameyang is convinced that the former Bayern Munich player will allow Barcelona to aspire to higher levels and achieve the championships absent from the team.
He continued: “Barcelona will be able to compete to win titles with all the great strikers they have.”
He continued, “His quality is really crazy and I always enjoy playing with him.”
It is worth noting that the attacking duo are preparing to face Real Madrid, which will be held on Sunday morning as part of the preparatory round for FC Barcelona in the United States of America.
