Real Madrid announced that it has taken strict legal measures to preserve the rights of its stars, after the recent wave of attacks on Vinicius Junior, the royal club’s winger.
This came in the wake of the attack by Pedro Bravo, president of the Spanish Players’ Agents Association, during his statements to the “El Chiringuito” program .
The Spanish club wrote a statement in which it made clear its total rejection of any kind of racism or hateful comments against Vinicius Junior.
“Real Madrid condemns all forms of racism and language of rejection in football, sports and life in general, such unfortunate and unapologetic statements towards our player Vinicius Junior in the past hours,” the statement read.
He added, “We want to express our sympathy and support for Vinicius Junior, a player who respects football and looks at life with a happy perspective and a sportsmanship.”
He continued: “Football is a global sport, and there must be better values for coexistence. The club has directed its legal department to take the necessary measures against those who make racist comments towards our stars.”
It is worth noting that Vinicius’ dance and celebrations have caused a lot of controversy in the past hours, after the comments of Koki, the Atletico Madrid player, and the Brazilian Madrid support campaign for him.
