Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique believes that Mohamed Salah’s early return to Merseyside after missing Egypt’s clash with Liberia is positive news for the Reds.
Egypt coach Roy Vitoria had decided to rest Salah, which enabled the striker to return to the training center earlier than initially planned.
And the Egyptian Football Association issued a statement in which it explained the absence of Salah from facing Liberia, after he participated against Niger in the previous match
Salah had scored two goals in the Pharaohs’ victory over Niger without a response, in coach Vitoria’s first meeting with Egypt.
Avoiding the risk of a potential injury in the friendly against Liberia is seen as a smart and positive move for Liverpool as they prepare for a busy schedule
Enrique, the former Liverpool defender, agrees, taking to Twitter to voice his opinion on the decision, saying: “Great news for us Reds.”
