Lilla Pereira, president of the Brazilian club Palmeiras, revealed her position on the sale of young striker Andreik to one of the giants of Europe in the near future.
The young striker, who is only 16 years old, has recently emerged as one of the most important talents in South America, and has caught the attention of Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea.
For her part, the president of Palmeiras responded to the speculation about the player’s future, in statements carried by the Brazilian newspaper “globo”, saying: “Andric needs to stay with us until he is 18 years old, so I deal very calmly with the matter.”
He added: “Of course we want the best for Palmeiras, but so far there has been no official inquiry or offer to sign him, and no one has contacted me.”
She explained: “I take it calmly because what is happening is the result of the wonderful work of the club’s academy, not only with Andrek because we have many very talented players.”
It is noteworthy that Andrick, who signed the first professional contract in his career last July, can leave Palmeiras if the penalty clause of his contract is paid for 60 million euros, but he cannot leave Brazil before reaching the age of majority.
